Our Programs
What We Do
At PGRSS, we collaborate closely with communities to develop solutions that are sustainable, inclusive, and grounded in genuine needs. Here’s a look at the key areas we serve:
Shelter for the Homeless
A home is more than four walls it’s a place of safety, belonging, and dignity. We help provide shelter for the homeless and those living in vulnerable conditions, ensuring they have a stable foundation to rebuild their lives.
Swachata Abhiyana (Cleanliness Drives)
Our cleanliness and sanitation drives aim to promote not just a cleaner environment but a healthier mindset. We work with communities and schools to raise awareness about hygiene, waste management, and public responsibility.
Self-Help Group (SHG) Training for Women
We organize SHG training sessions that help women come together, support each other, and take control of their financial futures. These groups enable women to save, access microloans, start small businesses, and make informed decisions for their families.
Rural Development & Livelihood Support
From improving village infrastructure to enabling access to essential services, we support holistic rural development. Our livelihood programs help individuals find sustainable income sources while strengthening local economies and promoting self-reliance.
Farmers Awareness Programs
We conduct workshops and outreach programs that educate farmers on best agricultural practices, sustainable techniques, government schemes, and climate-resilient farming. Our goal is to equip them with knowledge that directly enhances their yield, income, and overall well-being.
Student Entrepreneurship & Career Guidance
We believe young minds need exposure, encouragement, and support to dream big. Our programs guide students in exploring entrepreneurial thinking and future career paths, helping them build the confidence and clarity to pursue meaningful work
Women Empowerment & Menstrual Health Awareness
We address deep-rooted stigma and lack of access around menstrual health by conducting awareness campaigns, hygiene workshops, and distribution drives. We also empower women through skill training, leadership development, and support systems that uplift their voices.
Clean Energy Access – CSR Partnership with SELCO
In partnership with SELCO Electric, we’ve brought solar-powered lighting to rural schools and community spaces. This initiative ensures that even in areas without electricity, learning doesn’t stop and children can study in safe, well-lit environments.
Clean & Green Campaigns
In collaboration with the Department of Forestry, we promote environmental consciousness through tree planting drives, school greening projects, and community awareness efforts. We aim to create greener spaces that nurture both nature and learning.
Magu ge ondhu gida, shaalege ondhu vana
This unique campaign – “One tree for a child, a forest for a school” – encourages schools to plant trees for every student. It’s a simple yet powerful way to build environmental responsibility while turning school campuses into green learning zones.
Youth Financial Empowerment
We help rural youth build a secure future by offering training in financial literacy, skill development, and entrepreneurship. These programs give young people the tools to become independent earners and confident decision-makers.
Technical Support for Rural Economic Schemes
In collaboration with institutions like SDIMD and BHIMS University, we offer expert guidance to ensure rural economic schemes are effectively implemented. This includes capacity-building, strategic support.
School Development Initiatives
We work with local schools to identify areas for improvement from basic infrastructure and hygiene facilities to teacher support and student engagement. Every child deserves a safe, welcoming space to learn and grow
